He likes his classes and his teammates. We are so glad God had the perfect plan for him. All of the pictures we took at his going away party are going to be uploaded to Ricks photo site, http://http://picasaweb.google.com/345baseball so you can download and print the ones you want. They are really cute. Here are just a few below. Matt left on Tuesday for his apartment at Sam Houston. We have company this week but next week, our house will be so quiet!

Nate is in Kansas
We took Nate to El Dorado, Kansas on Friday, August 15th and moved him into the dorm on the next day. It is a small town outside Wichita, about 25 miles away, so he can get to a mall if he needs to. He likes the small town. Everything is so pretty and green there. We decorated his room in his Texas stuff, thank you mom for getting some of the stuff. He is very proud of his room and even two of the players who are from Brooklyn, wanted their picture taken with his cowboy hat and the flag behind them! Here is his room. And yes, I cried.

Empty Nest Awaits!
Wow, we are just about three weeks from having an empty nest. While we still have lots of baseball ahead, gone are the days of me soaking baseball pants and scrubbing the orange dirt on the knees until my knuckles are raw! Rick and I are excited while at the same time, a bit sad. Our house, that has been so noisy for the last twenty three years, is now going to be silent, although peaceful.
Matt will be returning to Sam Houston State to pitch and study accounting, he is now a sophomore. Nate will be heading off to Butler Community College in Kansas, who has a very good baseball program. Rick and I will be heading north and south all spring, but it will be fun.
Matt had a great summer playing collegiate ball for the Kilgore Pumpjacks. Here is one of the photos that was in the paper this summer.
Nate signed this summer for the Mansfield News-Mirror with all of us there and his high school coach. He is excited and six hours is not too far away I guess. It just sounds long being in Kansas!
I will try to keep updated photos here of their games!
